1st Day: Reception at Salvador's Airport; city tour (visiting Pelourinho Neighborhood and Barra's Port) till São Joaquim's Pier where we will take a Ferry Boat to cross the Bay and arrive on Itaparica Island. There, our Land Rover will take us to Cairú Island, at Dendê Cost, where a boat will transport us to Boipeba Island. Once there a trekking must be done to arrive to the only lodging at Cueira Beach (one of the most beautiful beaches at Bahia), where we will eat fresh lobsters cooked by a native lady and we will spend the night around a bonfire and drinking caipirinhas. 2nd Day: After having breakfast at sunrise time, we will begin a trekking along semi virgin beaches until Moreré, where a tractor will be waiting to transport us to Ponta dos Castellanos just along the interior of the Island. There we will camp and we will practice some Snorkeling around the coral reefs. Meanwhile our guide will organize everything for a rustic dinner at seaside. 3rd Day: We will get up early (taking care of the tides) and we will do a short eco-trekking among palm trees to arrive to a little fishermen town called Cova da Onça. Once there, we will take a small boat to Pratigi, an amazing beach placed at the continent where it is posible to arrive just by 4x4 vehicles, during the low tide. Our Land Rover will be waiting for us to continue our ride. We will go along the beach for around 20 km looking for the most proper waves to practice a new radical sport known as Ducking-surf. After much adrenaline and fun we will take a fishing boat to cross Camamu Bay and arrive to Barra Grande Town, at Maraú Peninsula, to spend the night at an Inn. 4th Day: We will wake up early and our Land Rover will drive us along sandy roads to arrive to a place with crystalline waters called Taipu de Fora, where we will practice Snorkeling and enjoy a morning at the beach. Before midday, we will leave in direction to Lagoa do Casangue, a tight, long lagoon (12 Km) , parallel to the coast line. There we will have lunch close to the sea: chicken with wine sauce, cooked on a plow disc. After lunch we will enjoy the afternoon on the 60 meters of land that are between the salted sea and the sweet water lagoon, sailing the Duckies on the lagoon or spending some adrenaline with Ducking Surf on the sea. After that, we will begin an Off-Road by sandy, dirty roads, till find a raft that will cross us and the truck through das Contas River till Itacaré city where we will spend the night in a rustic Inn. At night we will visit the beatifull streets of this surfers and fishermen town and we will taste delicious plates and drinks characteristics of the region. 5th
Day: We will visit the wonderful beaches placed at South Itacaré. These
small beaches (some of them do not have more than 70 meters long) are the preferred
ones for Brazilian Surf Champs. The most adventurer would practice some surf meanwhile
the other members of the group do some ecological walks along the paths that go
to one beach to other. At lunch time we will go to a restaurante at the town to
have lunch and prepare ourselves for the next adventure. After that we will go
to a small cozy town called Taboquinhas, where some Rafting will be practice on
das Contas River (one of the three best Brazilian rivers for this activity) with
has difficulty levels III and IV in a ride of two hours crossing Canyons and cascades;
we can say this is a real Radical Way Down. 6th
Day: After a camp breakfast at riverside, a basical training on the duckies
will be provide to you and after that we will begin the the way down the river.
Because of their dimensions and maneuver possibilities, duckies are excellent
rafts
for those who can tame them. The river has a difficulty level III
that sometimes will seemed as IV. Duckies are not traditional rafting boats where
the instructor directs the boat; ducks are leaded by the whole crew. A little
mistake on the lead can make you go out of the boat and go down the river just
with your body as craft. 7th
Day: After the fabulous breackfast offered at the inn, we will board the wonderful
experience of diving the cristallyne waters of Morro de Sao Paulo. Depending of
the experience of the group, we will choose the better place to practice this
sport. After having a shower and some lunch the group will be free to enjoy the
wonderful landscapes of Morro and buy some souvenirs for those friends who did
not enjoy this adventure with us. 8th Day: This day is the beginning of the trip's end. After breakfast we will go to the landing hint, placed at the 3rd beach where you will aboard a small plane -just for 5 persons- in direction to Salvador. After a flight of 25 minutes you will arrive into Salvador's International Airport, where each one will be free to continue a trip around Brazil or just return home. (*)
